My special grandad Poam

Always a smile,
Never a tear,
Even when the time was near,
So brave, so proud
And dignified too,
This Grandad is my tribute to you.

Forever live on,
In my heart,
Since the day that you did part,
The memories, the laughs,
The bad jokes too,
Every day I’ll be missing you.

You travelled so far,
More than most,
But you were never one to boast,
The sun, the sea,
The sunsets too,
Beautiful places for a beautiful you.

You loved your golf,
You were the best,
But now we lay you down to rest,
The cricket, the football,
The rounders too,
A real sportsman and that was you.

The things you achieved,
The thing you have done,
And now at this time the angels have come,
The homework, the maths,
The English too,
So helpful Grandad, also you.

As I say goodbye,
On this day,
The memories will never go away,
Your family, your friend,
Your Angel too,
I, my Grandad, will always love you.

Hi Granda, Ill agree with Vincent making the gravey and dipping the bread in it! mmm!
Granda was a special man who was devoted to my Granma, I have lots of great memories Granda, I remember playing outside your house with my huge dolls house when the sun was shining, I still remember when you won on the pools and you bought Vincent a cricket bat and me my first pair of skates! They were great, The long walks you used to take us on and we would build farms with the grass cuttings on the field in wreckenton. The list is endless! You never forgot a birthday either!
Nakita and Takaira loved getting your little notes through the post and some pennies to buy a ice cream!
Hope you and Grandma are good up there we all know you missed her so much and you spoke about her everyday I know you will be happy being reunited with her again.
Loads of great memories of a great Granda, You will always be in our thoughts and memories. Love always Caroline Jamie and your great grandchildren Nakita and Takaira

Granda

To a great man who shaped my life (as well as my golf swing) I'll always remember the daft things like making gravy on a sunday, picking blackberries down by the golf course and picking the horses for the national! I'm sure your looking down and still saying keep head still! Take care Granda you will always be remembered.
